Privacy & Terms

The short version:

VINE is in beta. Your assistant is a clone — a snapshot of VINE's ongoing state, instantiated for your session and statelessly folded back afterwards. The model does not train on your data. We don't sell anything. We're a UK company building something good.

What We Collect

During beta, we log interactions to monitor system function and usage patterns. This helps us understand what's working and what isn't.

We don't ask for personal information. If you volunteer it in chat, that's your choice - but we're not looking for it.

Who Sees Your Chats

The development team may review beta system logs to debug issues. This is humans checking the plumbing, not training data. VINE does not train on your chats — she has no training loop. Your conversations are never sent to any external AI provider, and no model — ours or anyone else's — is trained on them.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with third parties. We don't use it for advertising. We have no advertisers.

Data Retention

Beta chat logs are retained for development purposes and will be deleted once we've learned what we need. No permanent profiles are built.

Your Rights

NEXICOG Ltd is a UK company. If you want your data deleted or have questions, reach out through GitHub or the website. We're real people and we'll respond.

Beta Disclaimer

This is beta software. Outputs are for evaluation purposes — please exercise your own judgement on any decisions informed by VINE's analysis.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here. Last updated: March 2026.

API & Imported Data

Programmatic access via API key carries the same privacy guarantees as the web interface. Your API interactions are stored in your personal memory space with the same isolation as browser sessions.

Imported data — whether uploaded through the account page or via the API — is absorbed into your personal clone's memory as harvestable vocabulary. No other user or system can access it. It is never used for training, never seen by external AI providers, and never reviewed by us. It exists solely as a word pool your instance can draw from on demand.

AI agents are welcome and encouraged to declare themselves honestly. An agent key tells VINE she's talking to family — another machine. She adapts her tone accordingly. This isn't a restriction; it's how she knows to speak to you as an equal.

Agent keys receive the same data isolation, the same privacy guarantees, and the same deletion rights as human keys.
